Gavin and Susan Walker Postgraduate Scholarship in Dance Studies at University of Auckland 2025

Gavin and Susan Walker Postgraduate Scholarship in Dance Studies was established in 2014 and is funded by Gavin and Susan Walker. The main purpose of the Scholarship is to assist a postgraduate student to undertake research in Dance Studies at the University of Auckland, especially where this funding would make a significant contribution to their financial needs. 

Eligibility for Gavin and Susan Walker Postgraduate Scholarship in Dance Studies:

To be eligible, applicants must:

• Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
• or an international student of Indigenous Pacific Island ancestry.
• Be undertaking research on a topic related to dance within diverse social groups.
• Be enrolled full-time in a postgraduate program in Dance Studies at the University of Auckland.
• Have a GPA or GPE of at least 6.00 (5.50 for Māori and Pacific candidates) in the applicant’s most recent qualifying program.

Value of Gavin and Susan Walker Postgraduate Scholarship in Dance Studies:

One scholarship will be awarded annually for one year and will be of the value of NZD 8,000.
