Affiliated Fellowships Doctoral Program

Eligibility

• Citizenship: Open to all students regardless of citizenship. Canadian citizens and permanent residents must apply for the Tri-Agency CGS D program to be considered for Affiliated funding.
• Fields of Study: Students in all graduate fields are eligible except certain programs such as MBA, MEng, MPH, and other non-research-based or non-administered programs.
• Student Status: Applicants must be full-time UBC graduate students starting in September 2025.
• Funding Period: Applicants must have completed between 0 and 48 months of full-time doctoral studies (or equivalent), depending on whether they have undertaken master's-level studies before.

Benefits/Value

• Funding Amount: Awards range from $175 to $40,000 annually, with most awards around $16,000.
• Priority: Candidates who do not hold significant other funding (i.e., scholarships over $16,000) will be given priority.

Application Process

• Application Submission: Submit your application materials through your UBC graduate program.
• Canada Graduate Scholarships: Canadian applicants eligible for CGS D must apply to that program for Affiliated funding consideration.
• Criteria-based Awards: If applicable, check the list of criteria-based fellowships and submit the required information.
• Deadline: Submit the application to your UBC graduate program by Friday, September 13, 2024, 12:00 pm PT.
• Other Funding: Applicants must disclose any other significant scholarship funding.
