Overview
The Sanctuary Scholarship supports individuals seeking asylum or those with protection from an asylum claim, who cannot access government student finance. For the 2025/26 entry, one scholarship is available which includes full tuition fee waiver, £4,000 cash bursary, £10,000 accommodation support, and guaranteed accommodation in university halls for the duration of your studies.
Eligibility
To qualify, you must:
- Have one of the following immigration statuses: asylum seeker, unaccompanied asylum-seeking child, limited or discretionary leave to remain, or a family member with dependent status.
- Meet the relevant course entry requirements.
- Not be eligible for or receiving government student financial support.
- Apply for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught course (excluding Partner Colleges).
Application Process
- Apply through UCAS or directly to the Admissions Team.
- Complete the online application form, including a personal statement detailing your educational journey, financial circumstances, and future goals.
- Submit a signed Referee Supporting Statement and proof of immigration status.
