The Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship was established in 2005 and named in honor of New Zealand’s greatest adventurer.
Eligibility for the Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship:
- Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree in 2025.
- Applicants must have achieved NCEA Level 2 with Merit
- Must demonstrate strong achievement in sporting code and/or creative or performing art.
- Must be eligible for domestic fee status
- Must demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities and be actively involved in community initiatives.
Documents required:
- A CV.
- Personal statement in a maximum of two A4 pages describing how their achievements are related to the values of Sir Edmund Hillary.
- A reference from an agency/person.
- Principal’s assessment form.
Value of the Scholarship:
Successful applicants of the Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship will receive up to $30,000 over three years.
