University of Canberra Accommodation Scholarship 2024

Purpose of the Scholarship:

This Scholarship aims to assist new commencing domestic students from a rural, regional, and remote area in Australia to secure on-campus accommodation. Students must demonstrate financial disadvantage and volunteering and community engagement.

Eligibility for the Accommodation Scholarship:

• Applicants must be new commencing domestic Undergraduate students enrolled in the first year of their degree from a rural, regional, and remote area in Australia to secure on-campus accommodation.
• Students must also demonstrate financial disadvantage, volunteering, and community engagement, and address barriers and challenges faced.

Application Process:

Students need to submit an application form to the university to be eligible for the scholarship.

Selection criteria:

The Selection Committee is comprised of representatives from Global Student Recruitment, Student Connect, Student Life, and relevant Faculties. The committee will consider the following parameters in the application form:

• 50% Financial need
• 25% Barriers or challenges faced
• 25% Volunteer/Community Engagement

Value of the Scholarship:

The value of each scholarship is determined by the Student Success Directorate and Global Student Recruitment and is currently valued at $4,000.
