Frank Der Yuen Aviation Scholarship 2024-25

The Frank Der Yuen Aviation Scholarship offers financial grants to Hawaii residents who have been accepted or are enrolled in an aviation-related program at an accredited trade school, college, or university. Awards will be made without regard to gender, race, religion, or national origin.

Eligibility Criteria of the Scholarship:

• Applicant must be a resident of Hawaii.
• Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident.
• Applicant cannot be the parent, spouse, child, grandchild, or sibling to any current Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum Officer, Director, or employee.
• Applicant must be committed to pursuing a career in aviation/aerospace.

Application Process:

• Eligible candidates must complete and submit the application form.
• The application form should include the following components:
  • Three letters of recommendation,
  • A personal statement of 750 words or less to include:
    • Defining the desired aviation career field.
    • Statement of previous work experience or education showing commitment to the pursuit of an aviation career.
    • Summary of achievements in the desired field of aviation.
    • Be available for in-person or video conference interviews.

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful candidates are awarded a scholarship of USD 2,000.
