A program of the Indian government's Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, the Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students - Puducherry 2023–24 is available to OBC students pursuing post-matriculation education. The purpose of this fellowship is to assist students in their financial pursuit of higher education. In addition to other perks, the chosen students will receive a maintenance allowance of up to INR 750 per month.
Eligibility Criteria for Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students - Puducherry 2024:
- Students need to be an Indian citizen.
- Students should be a domicile of Puducherry.
- Students should belong to the Other Backward Class (OBC) community, as notified by the Central or State Government/UT administration.
- Students must be studying post-matriculation or post-secondary courses in a recognized institution/school/university.
- Students need to have an annual parent(s)/guardian income of not more than INR 1,50,000, including their income (if employed).
- Students should not be availing of benefits under any other scholarship/stipend.
Application Process:
Students need to submit an application form ONLINE only.

- A passport-size photograph of the student with the student's signature
- Academic certificates/diplomas/mark sheets
- Caste certificate duly signed by an authorized Revenue Officer (RO)
- Family income certificate (Note:- If self-employed, an income declaration affirming definite income from all sources through an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper)
- Receipt acknowledging the scholarship in the previous year (for renewal, if applicable)
