The scholarship has been established to encourage and reward a student who has excelled in their Bachelor of Science (Honours) (Earth Sciences) program and who is enrolling in their fourth-year honors program in Geology.
Eligibility for the Professor Beryl Nashar Scholarship for Excellence in Geology:
- Students need to be Australian citizens.
- Students should be enrolled in the 4th year of a Bachelor of Science (Honours) with UON and completing an honors project in geology.
- Students must have studied with UON for the duration of their current program.
- Demonstrate academic achievement by a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 6.0 or higher in your current program. Please note, that evidence is not required with your application, as we use University records.
- Students should not be the recipient of another University of Newcastle donor-funded or sponsored scholarship concurrently.

Value of the Scholarship:
This scholarship provides $1,000 to be paid in a lump sum payment.
