The goal of this PhD project is to revolutionize therapeutic delivery systems by using ionic liquids or salts to produce biocompatible protein nanoparticles for improved oral delivery of insulin and bioactive chemicals.
Eligibility criteria:
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Hold a Master by Research, a Master by Coursework with a high distinction research component, or
- A first-class Honours degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- An excellent academic background in chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, polymer science, or pharmaceutical sciences is required.
- Relevant research experience and publications are highly desirable.
- Be Australian citizens, permanent residents, or international students meeting English language requirements
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary research team.
- Meet RMIT’s entry requirements for the Doctor of Philosophy.
