Ph.D. candidates with at least a master's degree in history, theology, or a related historical field from Germany and outside are eligible for the IEG Research Fellowship Program 2024/25.
Eligibility Criteria for IEG Research Fellowship Program 2024/25:
- Students need to have at least a Masters level degree in history, theology, or another discipline that works historically.
- Students should have been pursuing their doctorate for no more than three years at the time of the application deadline.

- Curriculum vitae and a list of publications (if applicable) (please do not send photographs)
- An outline of the Ph. D. thesis (up to 15,000 characters excluding footnotes and spaces)
- The structure of the Ph. D. thesis
- A detailed timetable for the intended stay at the Institute
- Copies of university transcripts and proof of language competence
Value of the Scholarship:
IEG Fellowship for doctoral students has a monthly value of EUR 1,350 and also a family allowance.
