Executive Vice President of Health Sciences Scholarship at Washington State University 2025

The Executive Vice President of Health Sciences Scholarship supports current WSU Health Sciences students who demonstrate leadership, community engagement, and a commitment to health equity and the university’s mission.

Eligibility Criteria for the Executive Vice President of Health Sciences Scholarship:

• The applicants can be of any nationality.
• The applicants must be either undergraduates or graduate professional students who will be enrolled in a health sciences curriculum.

Application Process:

The application process must include:

• Completed Scholarship Application.
• List of leadership positions at WSU (may include clubs, organizations, committees, etc).
• List of campus and community organizations or projects the applicant has been involved with since becoming a WSU student.
• Answers to the following three questions:
  • Briefly describing the student's philosophy of health care providers as community leaders and and how their community engagement demonstrates that philosophy.
  • Briefly explaining thoughts about health equity and commitment to health equity as a student and as a professional.
  • Describe how the student resonate the vision and mission of WSU Health Sciences.

Selection Process:

•  Applications and applicants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:Completeness of application
  • Responses to the three questions that clearly demonstrate the applicant’s:Engagement with the WSU community and the community at large.
  • Explanation of leadership philosophy and demonstration of leadership ability.
  • Commitment to health equity.
  • Commitment to the WSU Health Sciences mission.
  • Full-time enrollment for the upcoming academic year.

Value of the Scholarship:

• Recipients will be awarded the scholarship once worth of $2,000 and be ineligible to receive it in future years.
• These are one-year, non-renewable awards.
• Students must write thank you letters to receive the award.
