Vietnam Scholarship at Deakin University 2024

Vietnamese nationals who reside in Vietnam and who have demonstrated a strong academic record as well as the ability to significantly impact the institution and its surrounding areas are eligible to apply for a 20% scholarship from Deakin.

Eligibility for Vietnam Scholarship at Deakin University:

• The applicant must be a Vietnamese national living in Vietnam.
• The applicant needs not to have taken up any more Deakin Scholarships.
• The applicant must be a brand-new student starting their degree program no later than Trimester 3, 2027.
• The applicant must fulfill all course requirements, including the English language proficiency requirement.
• The candidate must be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate courses toward a Deakin degree (except programs provided by the Faculty of Health and the Faculty of Science, Engineering, and the Built Environment (SEBE)).

Undergraduate Entry Requirements:

• The applicants must have completed the equivalent of one trimester of study at any Vietnamese institution and have at least a 65% WAM.
• The applicants must have completed high school in Vietnam, either domestically or abroad,
  • With a GPA of at least 8.0, or five ATAR points,
  • International Baccalaureate (IB): 27 (law-related studies & optometry: 33),
  • UK A Levels – 2 points above the entry score.

Post-graduate Entry Requirements:

• The candidate must have earned a WAM of at least 65% and finished a bachelor's degree or at least one trimester of graduate study at any university in Vietnam.

Application Process:

Every eligible prospective student will automatically be evaluated for the scholarship and informed of the results.

Value of the Scholarship:

All successful candidates are awarded a 20% discount towards tuition fees.
