College of Social Sciences PhD Scholarship (Student-Led Competition) at University of Glasgow 2025

College of Social Sciences PhD Scholarship at University of Glasgow is offered to students progressing towards a PhD program within the College of Social Science. 

Eligibility Criteria of College of Social Sciences PhD Scholarship at University of Glasgow:

• Applicants may come from any nationality.
• Applicants must enroll in a PhD program in the College of Social Science.
• Applicants' supervisor must also be from the College of Social Science.
• Applicants must have submitted a complete application to a UKRI scholarship competition.  

Application Process:

All eligible candidates must apply online to be considered for the scholarship. The application should include the following components;

• Completed CoSS PhD Scholarship application form
• Curriculum Vitae
• Academic transcripts
• Contact details for two referees
• Supervisor Statement of Support
• Any certificates and/or award letters for any academic prizes you have received

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful candidates are awarded the following benefits:

• Full tuition fee waiver
• Stipend (at the UKRI Stipend level)
• Access to a Research Training Support Grant

NB: Applicants for the School of Social and Environmental Sustainability, whose proposed research would usually fall within the competence of the EPSRC or NERC are eligible to apply to the CoSS PhD Scholarship competition without lodging an application to the ESRC or AHRC competitions.
