Angelo South Pacific Postgraduate Scholarship in Law at Victoria University of Wellington 2024

In honour of the long-standing professional ties between Professor Tony Angelo of the Victoria University of Wellington Law Faculty and the South Pacific nations, this scholarship was established. The scholarship acknowledges, in particular, his direct engagement in the growth of academic legal studies at the University of the South Pacific and the Victoria University of Wellington Law Faculty's longstanding commitment to the South Pacific.

Eligibility for the Angelo South Pacific Postgraduate Scholarship in Law at Victoria University of Wellington:

• This scholarship is available to Pacific Island law graduates with a first-class academic record who intend to pursue, or have already begun pursuing, a postgraduate diploma or a master's degree at the Te Herenga Waka–Victoria University of Wellington Law Faculty (either through coursework or a thesis).
• Candidates should be interested in pursuing legal careers in academia, government, or community service.
• Applicants from the Pacific Islands will be given preference; however, Pasifika students who live in New Zealand may also be taken into consideration.
• Third- or fourth-year Te Herenga Waka–Victoria University of Wellington Law Faculty students who want to enroll for a trimester at the University of the South Pacific's Law Faculty may also be eligible for the scholarship.
