About this Scholarship:
It was founded in 2015 by the EAIT Faculty with assistance from Executive Dean Professor Simon Biggs. Additionally funded by friends and graduates of the school, the Fund will be utilized twice a year to award and distribute up to five $1,000 modest awards to deserving female engineering, design, and technology students who want to make a positive global impact.
Eligibility for UQ Women in Action Fund:
- Students should be classified as domestic student
- Students are enrolled full-time in the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture, and Information Technology
- Students must have completed the first year of their undergraduate program, or are a post-graduate student
- Students should have maintained satisfactory academic progress.
Documents Required:
- Details of your chosen activity (this must take place the same semester or half calendar year that the application is lodged).
- A copy of your recent studies reports from mySI-net.
- A short-answer written submission (300-350 words) outlining how the activity will benefit your personal and professional development.
Application Process:
Students must submit an application form to the university to be eligible for the scholarship.
