University of Witwatersrand Equality Scholarships are offered at the University of Witwatersrand for students planning to pursue their undergraduate degrees at the university. The value of the scholarship is tuition, accommodation, and a monthly stipend for the duration of the UG degree (provided that academic performance is of a high standard). The current value is approximately R110 000 per annum.
Eligibility:
- Applicant must be a South African citizen, writing the South African National Senior Certificate.
- Applicants must be offered a place to study at this institution and register for the program offered.
- The selection criteria are the highest aggregate of all the marks achieved in the NSC examinations of Grade 12
Value: The top 10 performers from South African Quintile 1, 2, and 3 schools are given the VC Equality Scholarship. At the moment, the annual value is roughly R110,000.
