The Rhodes Scholarships are postgraduate awards supporting exceptional all-round students at the University of Oxford. Established in the will of Cecil Rhodes in 1902, Rhodes is the oldest and perhaps the most prestigious international scholarship program in the world.
Eligibility for the Rhodes Scholarships:
- Applicants must fulfill the citizenship and residency requirements of the Rhodes constituency for which they are applying.
- Applicants must be aged 18-23 on 1st October 2024 (i.e. must have been born after 1 October 2000 and on or before 2 October 2006).
- Older applicants must be under the age of 27 on 1st October 2024 (i.e. have been born after 1 October 1997).
- Applicants should be in the final year of or have completed an undergraduate degree at a university.
- Applicants must have a sufficiently high standard of English to meet the University of Oxford’s English language proficiency requirements.

The eligibility criteria to apply for the "Rhodes Scholarship at the University of Oxford 2025" as a citizen of Pakistan are:
i. completed a school or college leaving exam (Intermediate, A-level or equivalent) at a school or college in Pakistan or have received or will receive an undergraduate degree at a university in Pakistan?
i. You must be aged 18-23 on 1st October 2024 (i.e. you must have been born after 1 October 2000 and before 2 October 2006) or (for older candidates who completed their first undergraduate degree later than usual)
ii. You must be under the age of 27 on 1st October 2024 (i.e. have been born after 1 October 1997) AND you must also have completed your first undergraduate degree on or after 1 October 2023*.
* A university's policy determines the date of completion of academic requirements for a degree and this may be different from when a degree is considered awarded by the university or the date of a graduation ceremony. In ambiguous cases, the decision of the National Secretary is final.
Will you have completed an undergraduate degree (normally a Bachelor’s degree) by July 2025 with an academic background and grade that - at a minimum - meets or exceeds the specific entry requirements of your chosen full-time course at the University of Oxford?
Candidates will have a higher chance of successful admission to Oxford if they have:
• A First Class Honours Degree or equivalent, or,
• A GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
