Eligibility Criteria for the NZAO Award for the Most Improved Student Entering the Bachelor of Optometry Part IV at the University of Auckland:

- The recipient must have demonstrated the most improvement in their aggregate final mark across Part III courses from the previous year.

- The student with the most significant improvement in their marks across Part III courses will be chosen as the recipient.
- In case a student is eligible for both the NZAO Robert Jacobs Award and the Most Improved Student Award, the latter will be given to the student who showed the second most improvement.
