Merit Academic excellence Scholarship at Texas A&M-Kingsville (First time college students)

Texas A&M-Kingsville automatically offers merit-based scholarships to at least 50% of admitted students who display exceptional scholastic achievement in high school.

Eligibility criteria for Merit Academic excellence scholarship at Texas A&M-Kingsville -

• The applicants are awarded based on the average of the applicant pool as every student is rated using the same metric based on high school rank and test scores.
• Eligible students will have a competitive academic profile – typically a total score of 1170 on the new SAT or an ACT Composite of 24, with a class rank in the top 20 percent.
• Admitted applicants who are eligible for Academic Excellence Scholarship will be notified via U.S. mail. 

Application process -

• Your completed admissions application allows you to be automatically considered for the Academic Excellence Scholarship.
• For Fall applicants, reconsideration requests will be accepted through March 1st. 

Note - 

• The students without a class rank can still be considered for Academic Excellence Scholarships.
• Students who are unable to take the ACT/SAT test due to the ongoing pandemic or other extenuating circumstances will still be considered for the Presidential Scholarships.

Value of the scholarship - $1,000 to $4,000 per year
