The Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, as well as research universities and applied scientific universities in the country, provide funding for the NL Scholarship. International students who want to pursue a master's degree in the Netherlands but are not citizens of the European Economic Area (EEA, which includes all of the EU's member states as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway) are eligible for this grant.
Eligibility for NL Scholarship at Utrecht University:
- Applicants must identify as international students.
- Applicants must be new entrants.
- Applicants must enroll in a master's program at the university.
- Applicants must be commencing their studies in September 2025.
- Applicants must not be eligible for support under the Dutch study grant and loan system.

Value of the Scholarship:
The successful candidates are awarded the scholarships in the following varying amounts:
