Leadership Scholarship at University of Connecticut 2024

The Leadership Scholarship is one of the renewable merit scholarships offered by the University of Connecticut (UConn) to outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and leadership qualities. This scholarship aims to recognize students who have made significant contributions to multicultural diversity programs and initiatives within their schools or communities.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Open to both in-state and out-of-state applicants.
• Applicants must have a very competitive high school academic average.
• Submission of standardized test scores (SAT or ACT) is optional but recommended.
• Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to multicultural diversity programs and initiatives through their leadership, special talents, and achievements in school and/or community.

Value of the Scholarship:

• The Leadership Scholarship is a merit-based award renewable for four years.
• The scholarship is valued at a fixed amount determined every year.
• Recipients are eligible for renewal each year based on satisfactory academic progress.

Application Process:

• First-year applicants are automatically considered for most merit scholarships administered by UConn.
• Submission of standardized test scores (SAT or ACT) is optional but recommended.
