Only new freshmen students enrolled in any California State University campus after graduating from the California Academy of Mathematics and Science (CAMS) are eligible for this prize. In honour of her husband, a former California State University Foundation Board of Governors member and the California State University Board of Trustees, Mrs. Nicola D. Bautzer created the Gregson Bautzer University Fund Scholarship in 1991.
Eligibility for Gregson Bautzer Scholarship at California State University:
- Graduates of the California Academy of Mathematics and Science are enrolling as freshmen.
- The candidate must be enrolled at any California State University campus as a full-time equivalent undergraduate.
- The applicant's financial necessity and academic achievement must be demonstrated.
Application Process:
Every academic year, two students will be chosen by the California Academy of Mathematics and Science based on the above-mentioned criteria. The California Academy of Mathematics and Science notifies the CSU Foundation in writing after making a decision, and the letter contains the following information:
- A brief personal statement describing personal achievements goals and aspirations for the future
- Selected recipients are requested to submit a thank you letter addressed to Mrs. Nicola Bautzer.
