Graduate School Richard R. and Constance M. Albrecht Scholarship at Washington State University 2025

Eligibility Criteria for the Richard R. and Constance M. Albrecht Scholarship:

• It is open to all active doctoral graduate students in good standing who have successfully passed their preliminary examination.
• Preference is given to nominees with a GPA > 3.5.
• Students must be enrolled either full- or part-time during the fall 2025 semester to be eligible for the award.

Nomination Process:

• Students are nominated by the Dean of their College.
• Students must include two letters of recommendation from advisors.
• Students must also include CV that demonstrates the highest levels of excellence in scholarship, and an unofficial transcript.

Selection Process:

Nominations will be evaluated by the Graduate School Scholarship Committee on the strength of the letters of recommendation and demonstration of very high excellence in scholarly and research activities, including but not limited to:

• Strength of the letters of recommendation.
• Demonstrated scholarly productivity.
• Service to the institution, profession, and community.
• High achieving academic performance.

Deadline:

• Call: Opens on January 8.
• College nominations due to Graduate School: February 19 (Contact Department or College for internal deadlines).

Value of the Scholarship:

The selected candidates will be awarded with an award amount of $1,500.

Additional Requirements: Recipients are required to write a Thank You letter and attend the Graduate School Evening of Excellence.
