China Excellence Scholarship at University of Newcastle 2024

The China Excellence Scholarship at the University of Newcastle is designed to attract high-achieving students. It is a merit-based scholarship aiming to recognize international applicants with a strong academic background, encouraging them to pursue excellence in their studies.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the China Excellence Scholarship, applicants must:

• Hold a passport from the People’s Republic of China or the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China.
• Commence their first program of study at the University in the 2024 intake.
• Enroll in an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree program at the University, excluding certain programs and campuses.
• Be an international full-fee paying student.

Value of the Scholarship:

• The scholarship is valued at AUD 10,000 for one year of full-time study, with the amount distributed over each course taken.
• The benefit is applied as a tuition fee reduction directly into the student's University account.

Application Process:

• No formal application is required; eligible candidates are automatically considered upon application to the University.
• Notification of the scholarship value is provided with the offer of admission.
