Building Research Association of New Zealand (BRANZ) Scholarship 2024

Background:

The Building Research Levy funds these scholarships through BRANZ. BRANZ is an organization that conducts research independently and employs an objective evidence-based method to enhance the efficiency of the building system in New Zealand. BRANZ has been using its insightful research to provide trusted and actionable knowledge since 1970.

Eligibility criteria:

• Applicants must be enrolled for a master’s degree with a research project of a minimum credit value of 45 credits.
• Candidates should be undertaking research contributing to the construction industry’s goal to transition to zero carbon in the below topics under the conditions.

Documents required:

• A CV
• A personal statement outlining relevant industry experience to carry out a project in zero carbon construction (max. 1 page)
• Provide a 1-page personal statement on the importance of zero carbon research for your future goals, including working in construction, attending workshops and seminars, and producing publications.

Selection Considerations:

• Your CV and either your relevant industry experience or your statement regarding your future intentions.
• Priority will be given to students already working in zero-carbon building design or construction or who intend to work in the future industry.
