Yellow Ribbon Program

Eligibility

The Yellow Ribbon Program is available to:

• Veterans eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) who have exhausted their GI Bill benefits.
• Qualified VA students who are enrolled in a degree program at New York Tech.

Application Process

To apply for the Yellow Ribbon Program, students must:

• Be eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
• Contact the Office of the Registrar at registrar@nyit.edu to learn more and apply for this program.
• Follow the necessary steps outlined by the Registrar’s Office for Yellow Ribbon enrollment.

Value/Benefits

• The Yellow Ribbon Program provides additional financial support for tuition and fees that exceed the standard benefits available under the Post-9/11 GI Bill. 
• New York Tech will contribute a portion of the funding, and the VA will match the university's contribution.
• This significantly reduces out-of-pocket costs for qualifying veterans.
