Wilhelm Penseler Prize in Music at University of Auckland 2025

The BMus Creative Practice: Classical/Classical Performance student who has the top grades in Performance courses at the Stage II level is awarded the Wilhelm Penseler Prize in Music. The Trustees of the late F.W.A. Penseler's Estate created the Prize in 1970 to help students advance their musical studies.

Eligibility for Wilhelm Penseler Prize in Music at the University of Auckland:

• The student who has completed the second year of their degree program and has the highest grades in Stage II Performance courses will receive the Prize. 
• The student must be enrolled in a Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Music conjoint degree program with a concentration in Creative Practice: Classical or Classical Performance in either an orchestral instrument, the piano, organ, or harpsichord.
• The University of Auckland Council will grant the Prize based on the head of the school of music's proposal.
• If no candidate has enough merit, the University of Auckland Council may decide not to make an award.

Application Process:

Students don't need to fill out an online application or apply for this scholarship. It is given out based on the advice of the appropriate University of Auckland committee or faculty.
