- The fellowship is open to Professional Artists, Graduate, and Undergraduate candidates.
- Professional Artists must not be degree-seeking students at the time of the application.
- Graduate and Undergraduate Candidates planning to be enrolled full-time at an accredited college, university, or school of the arts are considered.
Exclusions:
- Full-time VMFA employees are not eligible.
- Recipients of three or more Fellowships in any category cannot apply.
