The Tynybedw Law Bursary was founded by Mr Geraint Hughes, a law alumnus of King’s College London and partner at Clifford Chance. This bursary will provide selected students with sufficient funding to cover a significant proportion of the cost of attending university and is aimed at allowing the recipients to study law at King's. The scholarships are designed to offer assistance to candidates who need extra financial support to undertake their degree.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be enrolling in their first undergraduate degree.
- Applicants must be from Wales.
- Applicants must enroll in an undergraduate degree in Law.
- Applicants must have a household income of GBP 59,200 yearly or less as assessed by the respective authority.
- Applicants must receive the Welsh Government Learning Grant.
- Applicants must accept the offer of admission at King's College London.
Application Process:
- All eligible candidates must download and fill out the application form.
- The candidates must send the completed form to funding@kcl.ac.uk together with scanned/digital copies of their supporting documents.
Value of the Award:
The successful candidates are awarded the scholarship based on the following quotas:
- GBP 8,000 in Years 1 and 2,
- GBP 9,000 in Year 3 and final year.
