Eligibility Criteria for Te Ākonga Matua (Head of School) Distinguished MAPAS Student Prize at University of Auckland 2025:
- Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents.
- Applicants must be enrolled in the final year of the Bachelor of Nursing program at the University of Auckland.
- Candidates must have gained entry to the program through the Māori and Pacific Admission Scheme (MAPAS).
- Normally, one Prize is awarded to a student of Māori ancestry and one to a student of Pacific ancestry.
Selection Criteria for Te Ākonga Matua (Head of School) Distinguished MAPAS Student Prize at University of Auckland 2025:
- Students must demonstrate distinguished academic and clinical performance.
- Exceptional all-round qualities, including leadership and contributions to peer support or broader community activities, will be considered.
Value of Te Ākonga Matua (Head of School) Distinguished MAPAS Student Prize at University of Auckland 2025:
Up to two Prizes will be awarded annually, each valued at $500.
