The Crown Charity, Greenwich Hospital, is providing this bursary to assist former service personnel and/or their children. It provides up to £3,000 toward the tuition costs for a bachelor's degree. Grants are typically given out for one academic year and are means-tested. Greenwich Hospital may prolong the award for up to four years, depending on your circumstances.
Eligibility Criteria for Royal Navy and Royal Marine Bursary :
- The applicant must be a first-year undergraduate student at the university.
- The applicant must be a former serving member of the Royal Navy or Royal Marines, or the son or daughter of a serving or retired member.
- They must have served a minimum of three years in the relevant force.
- The applicant must have applied for student support (where applicable).
- The applicant's household income must be less than £40,000.
