New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) at New York Tech

Eligibility

The New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) is available for:

• New York State residents who are enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree program at an approved postsecondary institution in New York State.
• TAP eligibility is based on New York State taxable income.
• Part-time TAP awards are available for New York State residents attending eligible institutions on a part-time basis, with eligibility also determined by income and academic standing.

Application Process

To apply for the New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP):

• Complete the FAFSA online.
• After completing the FAFSA, you will be linked directly to the TAP application from your FAFSA confirmation page.
• For New York Tech, use the following TAP codes: Undergraduate: 2120
  Graduate: 5455 (Note: Graduate students are not eligible for TAP but may be eligible for other state aid with this code).
