The Brighter World Entrance Award was established in 2020 by McMaster University to celebrate the achievements of Black students entering an undergraduate program.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be a self-identified Black student.
- Applicants must be intending to enter Level 1 of their first baccalaureate degree program.
Application Process:
- Applicants must submit the online application via "Entrance Awards by Application”.
- Applicants must also submit the following documents:
- Short essay describing the accomplishments the candidate is most proud of.
- A reference letter.
Value of the Scholarship:
The selected candidates are awarded a sum of CAD 5,000.
