History and purpose:
To support Jan Heine's ongoing efforts in the environmental and earth sciences, this scholarship was established in 2018 thanks to her kind contribution. This award is intended to assist master's-level postgraduate students with their research on restoration ecology and biodiversity.
Eligibility for the Jan Heine Research Scholarship in Biodiversity and Restoration Ecology:
- Candidates must be enrolled in any Master's degree offered by Victoria University of Wellington's Faculty of Science and conducting research in any area related to restoration ecology and biodiversity, including the use of cutting-edge technology.
- Students at the School of Geography, Environment, and Earth Sciences and the School of Biological Sciences will be given preference.
Selection criteria:
Prospective candidates must be enrolled in a Master's program at Victoria University of Wellington's Faculty of Science.
