Jan Heine Research Scholarship in Biodiversity and Restoration Ecology 2025

The Jan Heine Research Scholarship in Biodiversity and Restoration Ecology supports Jan Heine's ongoing efforts in the environmental and earth sciences, this scholarship was established in 2018 thanks to her kind contribution. This award is intended to assist master's-level postgraduate students with their research on restoration ecology and biodiversity.

Eligibility for the Jan Heine Research Scholarship in Biodiversity and Restoration Ecology:

• Students must be enrolled or intending to enroll full-time or part-time in a Masters or PhD program in the Faculty of Science at Victoria University of Wellington.
• Applicants must be undertaking research in any aspect of biodiversity and restoration ecology, including the use of novel technologies.

Selection criteria:

• Preference will be given to students in the School of Biological Sciences and the School of Geography, Environment and Earth Sciences.
• Recipients will be selected based on the merit of their application and research project.
• Preference may be given to students who are already currently enrolled or have their enrolment for the awarding year confirmed
