The Ireland Fellows Programme is designed to provide early to mid-career professionals from eligible nations, who demonstrate leadership potential, with the opportunity to receive a prestigious, world-class, and high-quality education that supports capacity building. This program presents selected candidates with the chance to participate in a fully funded one-year master’s level program at a higher education institution (HEI) located in Ireland.
Eligibility for the Ireland Fellows Programme - Africa:
- Applicants must be resident nationals of the selected nations.
- Applicants must have a minimum of two or three years of work experience directly relevant to the proposed program of study.
- Applicants must hold a bachelor’s level academic qualification from an accredited and government-recognized higher education institution.
- Applicants must have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Applicants must not already qualify for master’s level or higher.
- Applicants must not be applying to a new program at the master’s level in Ireland no sooner than August 2025.
- Applicants must not have applied to the Ireland Fellows Programme on more than one previous occasion.
- Applicants must be in a position to take up the Fellowship in the academic year 2025/2026.
Application Process:
- Interested candidates must first submit the Stage 1 application form.
- The candidates must also take the Duolingo English test.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in Stage 2 application level and thereafter Stage 3 for interview - if the candidate clears the earlier stage.
