International Achievement Scholarship at Portland State University 2024-25

The objective of The International Achievement Scholarship is to support and encourage students enrolled to study at the University.

Eligibility for The International Achievement Scholarship:

• To be eligible for the award, students must normally have entered equivalent grade point averages (GPAs) of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale. Students who are sponsored by the state or by outside parties or organizations may not be eligible. Additionally, certain partnerships at the university level are not eligible. 
• Only applicants who are accepted for new admission are eligible for the International Achievement Scholarship.  It is not possible for students who are already enrolled at Portland State to apply for this scholarship or to request an increase in the award amount after admission;
• The scholarship is open to students who have not yet fulfilled the TOEFL or English language proficiency requirements; however, the award will not be activated until the ESL restriction has been removed and the recipients are free to enroll in any academic program leading to a degree. Recipients must be classified as non-residents for tuition classification status.

Value of The International Achievement Scholarship:

The successful applicants will receive an amount of up to $3,000 and $10,000.

Application Process:

There is no need for a separate application, eligible students will be considered automatically.
