Gregson Bautzer Scholarship at Lurie College of Education 2025

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Incoming Freshman:

• Must be an incoming freshman student who has graduated from CAMS.

Enrollment Status:

• Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at any California State University campus.

Academic and Financial Need: 

• Must demonstrate strong academic performance and financial need. 

Award Value

Award Amount:

• Each recipient will receive $3,000 per year for four years, provided they remain enrolled full-time at a
• CSU campus.

Number of Awards:

• Two scholarships are awarded each academic year.

Application Process

Selection by CAMS:

• The California Academy of Mathematics and Science (CAMS) will select two recipients each year based on the eligibility criteria.
• Notification to CSU Foundation:
• Once recipients are chosen, CAMS sends a letter of notification to the CSU Foundation, including:
• A brief personal statement from the recipient describing personal achievements, goals, and aspirations.

Thank You Letter:

• Recipients are required to submit a thank-you letter addressed to Mrs. Nicola Bautzer, who established the scholarship.

Verification and Communication:

• CSU financial aid directors and scholarship administrators will be notified if their campus has a recipient. The CSU Foundation works with campuses to verify enrollment for awardees through their four years of study.
