- The Giles Family Foundation Study Abroad Program 2025 offers a fantastic opportunity for Swinburne students to study overseas for a semester in Semester 2, 2025. Giles, a Swinburne alumnus, founded the scholarship to assist students in pursuing their dreams of international education.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Giles Family Foundation Study Abroad Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Nationality: Only Australian citizens are eligible to apply.
- Enrolment Criteria: Applicants must be continuing students at Swinburne University, enrolled in their second year or above in 2025, and must be full-time students in an eligible undergraduate (including Honours) or postgraduate course.
- Overseas Semester Exchange: Applicants must have been approved for an Overseas Semester Exchange in Semester 2, 2025 to any Swinburne partner university.
- An offer letter from Swinburne Abroad for the Exchange program and, if available, an offer letter from the host institution must be submitted as part of the application.
Application Process
To apply for the Giles Family Foundation Study Abroad Program, applicants must complete the following steps:
- Online Application Form: Applicants need to fill out the online application form and upload all required documents by 30 June 2025.
- Video Submission: Applicants must submit a video (up to 3 minutes) that covers:
- Motivation to study overseas
- Commitment to community service
- Leadership potential
- Supporting Documents
- A character reference (from a community leader, employer, or teacher).
