Applications are being accepted for the 2025–2026 Fulbright Foreign Student Program by the U.S. Embassy in South Sudan.  International artists, young professionals, and graduate students can study and do research in the United States thanks to the Fulbright Foreign Student Program. Worldwide, the Fulbright Foreign Student Program is active in over 160 nations. Every year, over 4,000 international students are awarded Fulbright grants.

Eligibility for Fulbright Foreign Student Program in South Sudan:

  • The applicant must be a South Sudanese citizen.
  • The applicant should not be a citizen of the United States; participation in the program is not permitted for dual citizens.
  • The applicant must hold a bachelor's degree or the equivalent in the United States.
  • A minimum of three years of teaching or job experience after earning a bachelor's degree is required of candidates, and they must be willing to return to South Sudan for employment after the program is over.
  • The candidate must speak English well.
  • Outstanding academic records, references, and background in the applicant's field of choice are required.
  • After the screening and interview stage, final nominees will need to take the GRE, GMAT, or TOEFL. Applicants must have sufficient required results on the English Language Test.
  • The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and willfully committed to finishing the program on schedule and going back home.
  • Applications need to specify the applicant's proposed academic focus within the subject in more depth.
  • Those interested in pursuing a Ph.D. research position should specify the topic of study they plan to focus on and be ready to submit a writing sample.
