Established in 1995 from a fund that includes donations from friends and colleagues of the late Professor D.P. Singhal to honor his contribution to the intellectual life of the University in ways reflecting his scholarly interests, as well as a bequest of $25,000 to the University under the will of Professor Singhal, who taught Indian history at the University for 25 years.
Eligibility for D.P. Singhal Travel Grant:
- Applicants must enroll in a program administered by the School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry
- Applicants will be undertaking a research project in India researching Indian history, culture or religion
- Applicants do not hold another travel scholarship or grant.
