Eligibility Criteria for the Māori Accommodation Scholarship:
- Applicants must be New Zealand Citizens of Māori descent (Cook Island Māori are not eligible).
- Applicants must be currently studying a New Zealand secondary school qualification.
- Scholarship applies only to students residing in approved AUT accommodation (Halls of Residence).
Residency Requirements:
- The scholarship is applicable to students who will reside in approved AUT Halls of Residence during the semester immediately following the application.
Ineligibility:
- Cook Island Māori applicants are not eligible.
Value/Benefits of the Scholarship:
- The scholarship provides a $12,000 accommodation supplement.
- The amount is paid directly to the relevant AUT Halls of Residence.
Tenure:
- The scholarship is awarded for one year only, specifically for the semester immediately following the application.
