William Reed Scholarship at Massey University 2025

The William Reed Scholarships are open to ex-pupils of the Palmerston North Boys High School and are tenable at Massey University. This is an undergraduate or postgraduate scholarship. You will want to be studying for a bachelor's degree, postgraduate diploma, or postgraduate degree with a focus on agriculture or horticulture.

Eligibility criteria for the William Reed Scholarship:

• Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time course of study.
• Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree, postgraduate degree, or postgraduate diploma in Applied Academic Programme disciplines relevant to agriculture or horticulture (prefix of 112, 117, 119, 189, 283, 284, or 285). 
• Applicants must be an ex-pupil of Palmerston North Boys High School.

Value of the Scholarship:

The value of the William Reed Scholarship shall have a value determined each year from the interest earned on the capital. In recent years it has been NZD 2,000.

Note:

• The scholarship is awarded by the University Scholarships Committee on the recommendation of the Applied Academic Programmes Scholarships Committee, College of Sciences.
• The scholarship shall be offered annually but will not be awarded if no suitable candidates apply.
• The scholarship may be held in conjunction with other scholarships, bursaries, or awards, so long as these permit co-tenure.
