The Kellogg Institute for International Studies at the University of Notre Dame is offering visiting fellowships to promote interdisciplinary international research in a community of scholars. The fellowships are offered to conduct research in democracy and/or human development.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants may come from any nationality and belong to one of the following categories:
    • Junior or mid-career scholars.
    • Esteemed senior scholars with a proven track record of outstanding academic achievement.
    • Skilled professionals like policymakers and journalists who can connect policy research and practice.
  • Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent degree in a social science discipline or history.
  • Applicants who are Non-US citizens must fulfill the following conditions:
    • Advanced English language proficiency.
    • Foreign nationals must have a valid passport and be able to obtain a J-1 Visa.

Application Process:

All eligible candidates must apply online to be considered for the scholarship. The application should include the following components:

  • Cover letter,
  • Most recent CV,
  • Research project statement,
  • Project Abstract (150 words max.),
  • Short Bio (200-300 words),
  • Three Confidential Letters of Recommendation.
