Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM)-SEARCA Joint Scholarship 2024

This Scholarship is a result of the joint project between Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and SEARCA. It has been renewed under a new structure for another five academic years, starting September 2020 until August 2025. These full scholarships are awarded to qualified nationals from the member countries of SEAMEO.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicant must be a qualified national of SEAMEO member countries.
• Applicants must be employees of academic or research institutions or government agencies.
• Applicants must not be more than 35 (Master's Degree) or 40 (PhD) years of age.
• The thesis research should focus on SEARCA's overarching theme of Accelerating Transformation Through Agricultural Innovation (ATTAIN). 
• The applicant prefers to have an IELTS result of 6.0 or a TOEFL iBT result of 75, taken within two years before application as proof of English proficiency.

Application Process:

• Applicants must submit the UPM-SEARCA Joint Scholarship Form online.
• The applicants must submit the following documents 
  • Original copy of the transcript of academic records.
  • Original or certified true copies of certificates of completion/diploma for every degree completed.
  • Certificate of employment.
  • Endorsement from the employer. 
  • Recent curriculum vitae.
  • Brief description of the research the applicant plans to conduct for thesis/dissertation.
  • Medical Certification declaring that the applicant is in good physical and mental health condition and is fit to undertake graduate studies.
