Summer Arabic Language And Media (SALAM) Program 2025

The Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center (SQCC) is offering the Summer Arabic Language and Media (SALAM) Program, in 2024.

Eligibility Criteria of the Scholarship:

• The applicants must be citizens of the US.
• The applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate, MA, or Ph.D. program in Spring 2024.
• The applicants must have a passport which should be valid 6 months after the end of the program.
• The applicants must complete four semesters of Arabic coursework (university-level) by the end of the spring semester.

Application Process:

All eligible candidates must complete and submit the online application to be considered for the scholarship. The application should include the following components:

• Completed Application
• Most recent Resume
• Response to the Essays
• Unofficial transcripts
• Three letters of recommendation (including one from an Arabic instructor)

Value of the Scholarship:

The successful candidates can avail of the following benefits:

• Three meals a day, 
• Transportation between student housing and the university,
• Internet, onsite laundry, and gym facilities.
