SME Education Foundation Scholarships 2024

The SME Education Foundation has led the way in fostering the next wave of talent in engineering and manufacturing for more than 40 years. Millions of dollars are awarded through our scholarship program to hundreds of high school seniors and current college students who are pursuing associate's or bachelor's degrees in manufacturing, engineering, or similar fields. The Foundation offers merit- and need-based scholarships, renews and one-time rewards, and accepts applications from all qualified students, including but not limited to young women and underrepresented communities. It has over 60 different scholarship programs. Since 2005, the Foundation has given away 18 million dollars to more than 5,000 aspiring business leaders and grants almost a million dollars in scholarships annually.

Eligibility for SME Education Foundation Scholarships:

• The applicant must be a senior in high school or a current associate's or bachelor's degree student in college.
• The candidate's GPA must be at least 2.0.
• The applicant should be pursuing a degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field at the associate, bachelor, or graduate levels.
• The applicant must be enrolled in a recognized school in either Canada or the United States.
• The applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States, or Canada, or have a valid student visa.
• Students enrolled full- or part-time are qualified.
