Merchant Navy War Memorial Fund Scholarship at University of Tasmania 2025

The Merchant Navy War Memorial Fund Scholarship is provided to commemorate the service and sacrifice of the Australian Merchant Navy during WWI and WWII and as a reminder to younger generations of the very significant role played by the Australian Merchant Navy on behalf of our nation.

Eligibility Criteria for Merchant Navy War Memorial Fund Scholarship:

• Students must be able to demonstrate financial need and are undertaking marine-related courses at the Australian Maritime College at the undergraduate level.
• Applicants should be Australian citizens or holders of a humanitarian visa and enrolled in one of the following courses:
• Marine-related Vocational Education and Training
• IR Training
• Master <24 metres
• Master <45 metres
• Bachelor of Applied Science (Marine Engineering); or
• Bachelor of Applied Science (Nautical Science)

Value of Merchant Navy War Memorial Fund Scholarship:

Successful applicants will be provided a scholarship worth $3,500.
