Margiotta Family Scholarship at Connie L. Lurie College of Education 2025

The Margiotta Family Scholarship is designed to support students who have already earned a Bachelor of Arts in a field related to the arts and who are pursuing a career in education. This scholarship aims to encourage students who are committed to teaching the arts at various education levels, ranging from primary through post-secondary education.

Eligibility

To qualify for the Margiotta Family Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Academic Background:

The applicant must have already earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in one of the following disciplines:

• visual arts, digital arts, music, or performing arts.

Teaching Aspiration:

• The applicant must plan to teach in any age level, from elementary through higher education.

Minimum GPA:

• A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required to apply for this scholarship.

Full-Time Enrollment:

• The applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student at the time of application.
• This means:Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least 12 units.
• Graduate students must be enrolled in at least 6 units.
• In addition to meeting these requirements, the recipient of this scholarship must also write a thank you note to the donor expressing gratitude for the award.
