Indigenous Financial Assistance Grant

• The Indigenous Financial Assistance Grant aims to provide financial support to current Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students at Swinburne University who are experiencing financial hardship or have been impacted by an unexpected emergency.
• This grant is offered by the Moondani Toombadool Centre to help alleviate financial challenges and ensure students can continue their education.

Eligibility

• To be eligible for the Indigenous Financial Assistance Grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Nationality: Applicants must be Australian citizens of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage.
• Proof of heritage can be provided by submitting a Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Heritage certificate (COA) or a certified Statutory Declaration.
• Course Eligibility: The grant is available to all current Indigenous Swinburne students who have completed at least one semester of study at Swinburne University.
• Hardship or Emergency: Applicants must demonstrate that they have been impacted by financial hardship or an emergency.
• Supporting Documents: Evidence such as medical certificates, insurance claims, photographs, and supporting statements from educators or employers must be submitted with the application.
