Eligibility Criteria for Glynis R. Thompson Bursary:

• The applicant should be classified as an international or a home student.
• The applicant should be studying a course in the Department of Modern Languages

Application and Selection Criteria:

Glynis R. Thompson Bursary applications should be made to modernlangs@aber.ac.uk, the subject line should be 'Glynis R. Thompson Bursary'

Based on a 500-word research proposal (excluding the bibliography), a prize will be given out. Every suggestion is evaluated for relevance and accuracy by two staff members who are assigned by the PG mentor. In the case of equal merit proposals, UG results (or predicted UG results for current final-year students) will be considered. 

Applicants must have at least a 2(1) undergraduate degree(Students in the last year of study can also apply and send their degree results in due course). The student's undergraduate degree must have included at least one of the primary languages taught in the department—French, German, Italian, or Spanish (joint honors students who combine a language with another topic are eligible).
